This unit operates in all Converteam Group activities, Marine, Oil & Gas including Offshore, Renewables with a particular focus on Wind energy, and Industry.
In addition to its facilities in Rugby, Converteam has two more main locations in Kidsgrove and Glasgow. All three include Research & Development, system design, engineering and manufacturing divisions. The electrical machine factory in Rugby delivers innovative solutions to the market. Activities that were once outsourced are now carried in-house, generating significant lead-time and cost reductions. Our Kidsgrove site produces some of Converteam's leading range of drives. These include the MV3000 converter, widely used in the most advanced wind turbines.
Building on its success and to be closer to customers, Converteam UK is also backing our offices in Singapore and in South Korea, whose prime function is to provide support for operations in the Marine and Offshore markets for new-built LNG carriers and drilling rigs.
